Society For The Upliftment of Villager & Development of Himalayan Areas (SUVIDHA) is a premier non profit organisation in India with experience spanning over one decades in the field of project formulation and conduct of studies and surveys, formulating, appraising, monitoring and evaluation of projects connected with agriculture, water resources and rural development, including rural financial services and social sector. Over the years, it has been involved in the identification, preparation, execution, appraisal, monitoring and evaluation as also supervision of various fields like agriculture, irrigation, rural credit, rural infrastructure, social sector and environment, in India.
Since last ten years SUVIDHA is engaged in the promotion of organic and sustainable agriculture in the state of Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Orissa. SUVIDHA has facilitated establishment on around 250 organized grower groups and contract production projects in Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Uttar Pradesh.
SUVIDHA is having its own certified organized grower groups in the state of Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. SUVIDHA is having skilled manpower for the implementation of organic farming in the selected areas, all the staff members are having vast experience of organic farming, organic package of practices. All staff members are having deep knowledge of organic certification system, certification system requirements and National and International Standards. SUVIDHA has employed 35 fulltime staffs who are responsible for project implementations in different states.
Apart from implementation of organic farming projects SUVIDHA also facilitate the certified groups for marketing of their certified produce by mean of developing market linkages and buyback system with processors, traders and exporters.
